About Me

Nina Mata-Russell

I’m a LGBTQ+ allied, trauma-informed massage therapist located in Houston, TX. I earned my certificate of Massage Therapy from the Texas School of Massage in 2018 (MT129523). Having been a caregiver to my mother and grandmother who fought cancer and other health issues, I was inspired to help women better understand their bodies and the importance of self-care. I continued my education in massage with a focus on women’s health, most notably in prenatal, postpartum, IVF/fertility, post-surgical, and oncology massage modalities. I am currently working towards my Medical Massage Certificate and National Board membership.

I’m the mom of three fearless kiddos (who will definitely be massage snobs when they grow up), three fuzzy fur babies—two rag doll kitties named Sterling and Elijah, and a Chihuahua named Brutus, and wife to a wonderful man and veteran.

A little-known fact about me is that I was a veterinary technician for a short time! So, unofficial fur baby massages (snuggles) are always free!

I’m passionate about what I do, and look forward to treating you and making you feel better! Contact me to find out which massage package is right for you!

What My Clients Say...

I’m in construction by trade and it’s taken a toll on my body over the years. Nina is the reason I can get out of bed in the morning! It’s really convenient that she can travel to me so I don’t have to take time out of my day to go to a spa. She’s a lifesaver, and I’m a client for life!

Deep Tissue Massage

Nina is friendly, knowledgeable, and understands what areas need more attention as she massages me. I value that she recommends stretching areas that she finds all knotted up, and after getting to know me she recommended different types of massages to fit my needs.

Himalayan Salt Stone

After my BBL and lipo, I struggled to find a massage therapist that could do postsurgical lymphatic drainage that didn’t cost more than my surgeries. I’m so glad I was referred to Nina. Not only is she knowledgeable and knew exactly how to handle my sensitivity and pain around my surgical incisions, she’s also so kind, funny, and encouraging. She made the whole experience fun and relaxing. I felt very safe and comfortable with her doing my treatments, and feel so much better. I can’t recommend her enough!
